ヴァージニア州アッシュバーンの冬祭りで、家族一緒にポニー乗り場の列に並んでいた8歳の少女エイミーは、母親がほんの一瞬目を離した隙に何者かにさらわれる。さっそく捜査に取りかかるBAUだが、JJのもとに「同じ犯人に息子をさらわれた」という女サラが訪れる。
