森で少年の遺体が見つかる。被害者ジャスティンは付近にある個人経営の学校「ブライト・アーチ」に通う生徒と判明。足首には追跡装置をつけていた。ジェーンは遺体と周囲の状況から、ジャスティンが発見場所に近いところで生き埋めにされていたと推理。付近を捜すと人が入れるほどの大きな穴が見つかる。さらに穴の周りの岩に、「Ｚ」という文字がペンキで書かれており･･･。
