レイはフィニーに言われサンディエゴへ向かい、ペイジの競合相手シルヴェスターが空港に着いたところを薬で眠らせモーテルに運ぶ。レイはアビーに離婚する気はなく生活を変えたいと思っていることを伝え、その夜、知事のパーティーに一緒に出てほしいと言う。
