葬儀のためリサの家族がフィッシャー家にやってくる。両親のエドとペグ、妹のバーバラとその夫のホイト、その子供たちのミカエラと双子のサイモンとショーンである。ペグはリサを火葬にしてアイダホにあるキンメル家代々の霊廟に入れると言って譲らない。ネイトは、自分が死んだときは薬品など使わずにじかに大地に埋めてほしいというリサの遺志に反するといって猛反対するが、デイヴィッドはネイトの考えている埋葬は違法だと諭す。
