新たに吹替え音声を収録して日本初公開！
「スペース1999」は、ジェリー・アンダーソン、シルビア・アンダーソンが製作を務め、マーティン・ランドー、バーバラ・ベイン、バリー・モースらが出演した。1975年から1977年の間に2シーズンが製作されたが、シリーズ最終回（シーズン2）は打ち切りの形で終了した。それから22年後の1999年にファンの手により作られた本作は、ムーン・ベース アルファのその後を描く短編となっており、「スペース1999」で脚本編集を担当していたジョニー・バーンが脚本を執筆し、オリジナルキャストであるジーニア・マートンが、主任データオペレータ、サンドラ・ベネスとして出演している。
本作は、「スペース1999」の中でアルファが放浪を開始した日である1999年9月13日にロサンゼルスで行われた“Breakaway 1999 convention”のために製作された。
