海外ドラマ最新レポート Vol.193　「クリミナル・マインド」「S.W.A.T.」のシェマー・ムーア　最愛の母が死去　インスタで涙のメッセージ

「クリミナル・マインド」の行動派捜査官、「S.W.A.T.」ではマッチョな頼れるリーダーを演じるシェマー・ムーア。そのシェマーの最愛の母が死去、仲良しだった息子は深い悲しみに沈んでいる。

 
シェマーの母マリリン・ジョアン・ウィルソン・ムーアさんが亡くなったのは、2月8日。まだ76歳だった。マリリンさんの死はシェマーら遺族の意向でしばらく伏せられていた。そして、その悲しい知らせを明らかにしたのが、2月19日、シェマーのインスタグラムだった。
 
インスタグラムの動画に映るシェマーは一見して、悲しみから癒えていない様子だと分かる。うつろな目、白いものが混じるあごひげ、陽気で快活な素顔のシェマーとは全く異なる、最愛の人を失った悲しみにくれる男の姿だ。
 
「これは現実だ。皆に心配されているのは知っていたけれど、僕は酷く落ち込んでいた。ふざけてるわけでも、ジョークでもない…」
 
前の投稿は約２週間前。久しぶりのインスタグラムだ。声を震わせるシェマーが、その理由を明かす。
 
「この数週間の間、僕はSNSから遠ざかっていた。少し黙っていたいと思っていたんだ、母を心から尊敬していたから。実は（約）10日前、僕の母が亡くなった」
 
微笑むマリリンさんの遺影を胸の前に掲げて見せるシェマー。
 
「まだ立ち直ることができないよ、僕はうちひしがれている」
 
タフなはずの男の目から涙は止まらない。
 
「母がいない生活を僕は知らない。これからどうしたらいいか、さっぱり分からない」
 
シェマーは49歳。母に愛され、母を愛してきた時間が長い分だけ、悲しみもつのる。
 
それでも「僕は必ず立ち直るよ。だって、それが母が望むことだから」と、涙をぬぐったシェマー。約10分間の動画は、最愛の母への愛と感謝と悲しみを断つ宣言でもあったのだ。
 
動画の最後には、「母はパーティーが好きだった」と音楽をかけて、ワインを手にしたシェマー。これまでのイメージを覆す涙のメッセージに、ファンからたくさんの励ましのコメントが寄せられている。
