海外ドラマ最新レポート Vol.262　「ケイティ・キーン」のルーシー・ヘイルは歯並び萌え

人が十人いれば十通りの萌えポイントがある。「ケイティ・キーン」主演のルーシー・ヘイルの萌えポイントは“歯並び”だという。人気ポップカントリー歌手のケリー・クラークソンがMCを務めるトーク番組にゲスト出演したルーシー。ケリーに「歯が気になるって聞いたわよ」と“歯並び萌え”であることをバラされてしまった。
 
「言い訳させて」とルーシー、照れ笑いしながら「私はこれまでインビザライン（マウスピース矯正）を2回挑戦したわ。それと子供の頃はずっとブラケット（歯列矯正器）をつけてたの」と自身の歯列矯正との長い付き合いを話し始めた。
 
14歳から芸能活動を始めたルーシーの完璧に見える歯並びは、こうした子供の頃からのたゆまぬ努力のおかげだったのだ。そして「プリティ・リトル・ライアーズ」の大ヒット以降、主役を演じる女優の一人になったルーシーは、今もキレイな歯並びの維持を怠らない。夜はリテイナー（矯正後の保定装置）をつけて就寝しているという。「だけど、犬が（いつの間にか）噛んでしまうの」ルーシーには、リテイナーをつけてベッドに入っても、夜中に自分で外してしまう癖があるらしい。もちろん無意識に。それを飼い犬が噛んで、おもちゃにするのだそう。歯列矯正との長い付き合い。悩みも多いから余計に他人の歯並びも気になってしまう。だから“歯並び萌え”
 
「とにかく歯が好き。スマイルが大好きなんだもの。人に会っても、最初に目が行くのは歯なのよ、私って変かしら？」とちょっぴり恥ずかしそうなルーシーだったが、理想の歯並びをしたセレブは「ジュリア・ロバーツ」と最後にケリーと意見が一致。「ジュリア・ロバーツのスマイルって素敵よね」と、ニッカリ笑顔が印象的な大女優の歯並びに萌える気持ちを隠すことはなかった。
