海外ドラマおすすめコラム vol.66　 「～性犯罪特捜班（SVU）」のスピンオフ発進！「LAW & ORDER: 組織犯罪特捜班」独占日本初放送

３月のスーパー！ドラマＴＶの目玉は「LAW & ORDER: 組織犯罪特捜班」（別称：ＯＣ）の独占日本初放送開始だ。「LAW & ORDER」のフランチャイズ（あるドラマを原点に舞台となる場所などを変えて別のドラマを生み出すこと）として７番目のシリーズだが、直接的には全米ロングランが23シーズンに到達した（そして通算500話を突破した！）「LAW & ORDER: 性犯罪特捜班」（別称：SVU）のスピンオフで、「SVU」ファンにはたまらない趣向だらけだ。
 
まず事実上の第１・２話は「SVU」と「ＯＣ」の【～初回２時間クロスオーバースペシャル】。その前半、「SVU」シーズン22第９話「再会」は必見。オリビア（マリスカ・ハージティ）がなんと「SVU」シーズン１～12で相棒だったエリオット・ステイブラー（クリストファー・メローニ）と10年ぶりにいきなり再会するというショッキングな場面で開幕。10年の間、ステイブラーに何があったかも気になるが、ここで彼に起きる大事件が「～組織犯罪特捜班」の重要なストーリーラインになっていく。
 
これまで「LAW & ORDER」フランチャイズといえば一話完結形式が基本だったが、「～組織犯罪特捜班」は連続ドラマの要素が重要になるのだ。恐らくはビンジ・ウォッチング（いわゆるイッキ見）を楽しむドラマ好きが増えたからだろう。ステイブラーや彼が所属する新設の“組織犯罪対策局”の面々（事情があるとはいえ女性の数学教授アンジェラもいるのがユニーク）の個性・人間性が掘り下げられていき、彼らの最大の敵ウィートリー（演じるのは「ザ・プラクティス」のディラン・マクダーモット！）が製薬会社を運営する実業家・兼・裏組織のボスというのも出色だ。
 
さらにシーズン１も全米放送中のシーズン２も「SVU」のキャラたちがばんばん登場し、両番組が何度もクロスオーバーするというお楽しみも。進化を続ける「LAW & ORDER」フランチャイズからますます目が離せない！
