海外ドラマおすすめコラム vol.82　期待しかない最終章! "レッド"の正体とは!?「ブラックリスト」ファイナル・シーズン上陸!!

7月のスーパー！ドラマＴＶの目玉は「ブラックリスト」ファイナル・シーズン(シーズン10)の独占日本初放送だ。
シーズン8終わりの悲劇でリズ(演じたメーガン・ブーンは本作を作ったソニーのTV部門の新作に他社より最優先で働くというファーストルック契約を締結)が消えた後のシーズン9・10は、米国では“新たなストーリーライン(Renewed storyline)”と呼ばれるほど斬新な展開がたっぷり。シーズン9、これまでブラックリストに載っていた犯罪者“ブラックリスター”たちに、レッド(ジェームズ・スペイダー)はいわば“壮大なしっぺ返し”を食らうようになったが、シーズン10で最も気になるのはやはりレッドの正体が明らかになるかどうかだろう。
 
“安心してください、ネタバレはしませんよ”と言いたいところだが、せっかくのファイナル・シーズンなのでもう分かっているいくつかの事実をご紹介する。これまで各話のエピソードタイトルに“ブラックリスター”の名前が入ることが多かった本作だが、最後の2話(前後編)、いずれもついにレッドの名前、“レイモンド・レディントン”の名前が入りそう。筆者が本稿を書いている2023年6月の時点でこれら2話は本国でも未放送だが、有終の美を飾るであろう、本作の最終2話のエピソードタイトルとして最高だ。
 
またこのシーズン10は登場人物陣も要注目ポイント。シーズン1のミーラ(海外ドラマ好きには「ER 緊急救命室」でもおなじみのパーミンダ・ナーグラ)の若かりし日が描かれる(但し別の俳優が演じる)と共に、ミーラの娘シーヤ(アーニャ・バナジー)が登場。シーヤは“００７”と同じくMI6(英国秘密情報部)のメンバーだが、インド系がルーツのナーグラも英国出身。
 
本作にはこんなデータもある。全米放送後、Netflixなどの動画配信サービスで世界的な超人気コンテンツになっているのだ。そんな歴史的ヒット作の“最終章”の日本初放送、期待しかない!
