米で「NCIS ネイビー犯罪捜査班」を放送するCBSが、新シーズンとなるシーズン23の更新を発表した。
同社の発表によれば、今シーズンの「NCIS ネイビー犯罪捜査班」はTV放送とストリーミング配信での視聴が一話当たり平均 1,040 万人を記録。ストリーミング配信では前年に比べ3％増加したという。熱心なファンに支えられ、シーズンを重ねても成長する優良シリーズであることを証明した。
CBSでは、「NCIS ネイビー犯罪捜査班」のスピンオフとして、2024年より「NCIS: Origins(原題)」、2023年より「NCIS: Sydney(原題)」を放送中。両シリーズとも好調で、それぞれシーズン2、シーズン3の更新を決めた。
他に「トラッカー」(シーズン2)、「ヤング・シェルドン」のスピンオフ「Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage(原題)」(シーズン2)など人気の新シリーズの更新も合わせて発表された。
CBSは「このたび、長年の実績あるシリーズとファンの皆さんのご要望から生まれた新シリーズをそれぞれ更新しました。各シリーズ最高のキャストとスタッフが、視聴者の皆さんに素晴らしい新シーズンをお届け致します」とコメント。2024年度、最も視聴者に支持されたTVネットワークとして、引き続き良質でエンターテイメント性の高いTVシリーズ作りを約束した。
