麻薬王で鳴らしていたブルーノはイギリスに偽札を流して経済界に恐慌をきたそうと計画し、取引するためにスコットランドのある片田舎へ行く。しかし運悪く途中で自分の顔を知るダグラスに会ったブルーノは、彼を事故死に見せかけて殺してしまう。このダグラスがバロンの仕事仲間であったため、バロンはこの事故に不審を抱き、自己流で捜査を開始する。
