ベントンとコーデイの仲は相変わらず進まないようだ。エリスが代表を務めるシナージックスは、カウンティー病院とER管理契約寸前までこぎつけるが、エリスは契約を取るために自分を利用したとウィーバーに責められて弱り果てる。年配の女性ばかりを狙った凶悪レイプ犯人が遂に捕まった。犯人に撃たれた警備員は死亡するが、警官に撃たれて重傷を負った犯人は不本意ながらも治療に当たったカーターたちの努力で一命を取り留める。しかし正常な輸血を行わなかったカーターの処置にデル・アミコは疑問を持ち…。
