上級生の間で仮面舞踏会が開催される。ジェニーは自分も出席させてもらえると思い込みブレアの支度を手伝う。セリーナはダンの性格を察し舞踏会に誘うのをためらうが、ブレアに背中を押されダンに電話する。その時、ダンは親友でかつての恋人ヴァネッサと一年ぶりに再会していた。セリーナの電話を受けたダンは女性の声を聞きつけたセリーナに、とっさに妹だと言ってしまう。ちょうどブレアの元をジェニーが訪れ、ダンのウソに気づいたセリーナは、ほかの男と仮面舞踏会へ行くことにする。
