ブレアとセリーナは夏休みをパリで過ごしていた。傷心のブレアがある日大好きなマネの絵を見ていると、ルイと名乗る男性が声をかけてくる。彼も同じ絵が好きだということで意気投合した二人は、ディナーの約束をするが、別れ際、ルイに話しかけてきた運転手が「グリマルディ」、「大使館」と話すのを耳にしたブレアは、ルイをモナコ公国の王子だと思い込む。一方、ニューヨークでは、ダンと連絡が取れず心配したルーファスが、ヴァネッサに頼んで様子を見に行ってもらう。
