実在のカリスマ・プロデューサー、ラリー・デイヴィッドの揉め事まみれの日常を自らが演じるユニークでシニカルなフェイク・ドキュメンタリー･コメディ。
ラリーは「となりのサインフェルド」の続編制作についてテレビ局のＮＢＣからの打診を断り続けてきた。だがラリーはＮＢＣでの打ち合わせに行く途中、シェリルとバッタリ遭遇する。シェリルは女優業を再開し、オーディションを受けに来ていたのだ。シェリルはラリーに「サインフェルド」の続編を制作し、自分の役を作ってほしいと頼む。
