娘メドウが大学へ進学するために面接を受けるのにつきあって車で移動するトニーは、途中メドウに詰問され渋々非合法の稼業を認める。メドウは試験勉強のストレスに負けてスピードを摂取したことを打ち明け、お互いに隠し立てのない親子になったと喜ぶが…。カゼで家にいたカーメラは訪ねてきたフィル神父と飲み食いして映画を見たりしたあげく、悩みを打ち明けて聖体拝領の儀式をしてもらってやがて妖しい雰囲気になる。しかし神父がワインの飲みすぎで悪酔いして寝込んでしまい何事もなく一夜が明けるが、帰ってきたトニーに事の次第を打ち明けると神父との仲を疑われる。
