海外ドラマ最新レポート Vol.393　 「LAW & ORDER：性犯罪特捜班」アイスーTのつぶやきに賛否両論？

「LAW & ORDER：性犯罪特捜班」に登場するNY市警性犯罪特捜班の刑事たちは個性派ぞろい。その中でも、一番のコワモテといえば、フィンことオダフィン・チュツオーラ刑事。演じているのは、ラッパーのアイスーTだ。そのアイスーTのツイッターでのつぶやきが話題になっている。
 
3月24日にアイスーTが投稿したつぶやきとは、「昨日の晩、オレはニュージャージー州のガソリンスタンドで金を巻き上げられた。手の震えが収まってから、なんとか警察に電話したら、すぐに駆けつけてくれて、オレもやっと落ち着くことができた。だけどさ、金は消えてしまったよ。警官がオレに聞いた、誰がやったか心当たりはあるかと。オレは言ってやった、イエスとね」
 
一読すれば、なんともぶっそうなつぶやきだ。あのアイスーTがガソリンスタンドで強盗に遭い、警察を呼ぶ羽目になったという。しかし、読み進めてもらいたい。アイスーTは犯人を知っていると書いている。この手の犯罪は、顔見知りを狙うことなどほとんどない。顔がバレてしまっては、すぐに捕まってしまうからだ。
 
勘のいい人はもうピンと来ているに違いない。これは最近のガソリンが高すぎるというジョークなのだ。ガソリンを入れたら、あまりにも請求額が高くてお金を巻き上げられた気分になった、と真実はここまで。もちろん警察など呼ぶわけもない。
 
このつぶやきには、すでに100万近くの「いいね」がついているが、中には「実際に強盗に遭った人もいるんだよ、ジョークにするなんて！」と怒りのコメントもチラホラ。それでも最近のガソリンの高騰には誰しもがうんざりのはず。ちょっぴり過激なつぶやきなれど、これもアイスーT流の世相への揶揄なのだ。
