海外ドラマ最新レポート Vol.594 　「LAW & ORDER: 性犯罪特捜班」のBD・ウォン、アイス－Tのメッセージ癖を語る

仕事やプライベートでDMやメッセージをほぼ日常的にやり取りしているという人は多いだろう。誰にとっても日常のやり取りだからこそ、癖は人それぞれ。
「LAW & ORDER: 性犯罪特捜班」のスターのメッセージ癖もちょっと変わっているらしい。元共演者が明かしている。
 
「LAW & ORDER: 性犯罪特捜班」のBD・ウォンは、シーズン12でレギュラー降板後もしばしばゲストとして再登場しており、今も番組とは縁が深い。中でもフィンことアイス－Tとはプライベートでもメッセージをやり取りする仲だ。
「彼はとにかく“無口”なんだ」と、アイス－Tのメッセージ癖を語るBD。言葉を操るのが得意なはずのラッパー、アイス－Tが“無口”とは意外かもしれない。
「少なくとも僕に対しては“無口”と言えるね。彼とのメッセージのやり取りは、僕が延々と何かを説明したとしても、彼の返事は絵文字だけなんだよ」(BD)
なるほど“無口”とはメッセージでの返事が短い、短すぎる、いや言葉さえ返してこないという意味らしい。
「たとえば僕が『あの部分はこうしてくれないかな?』とか『いつまでに返事が欲しい』みたいなメッセージを送ったとする。しばらく待って、返事が来たと思ったら“いいね”の絵文字一言なんだ」(BD)
 
誤解なきよう、二人は友人だ。最近もBDが演出を手掛けたオフブロードウエイのショーに、アイス－Tが一肌脱いだという。BDの依頼により、ショーの幕が上がる直前に流れる「携帯電話の電源はお切りください」のアナウンスをアイス－Tが引き受けたのだ。
「すごくおもしろいアナウンスだったよ。開演の前に観客席を温めてくれた」
BDの芝居の前に流れるアイス－Tのアナウンス。劇場の「LAW & ORDER: 性犯罪特捜班」ファンは、心の中で拍手喝采したことだろう。
そんなわけで、BDはアイス－Tの絵文字に不満があるわけではない、むしろ感心さえしている。
「思えばね、彼はただ効率的なだけなんだ。僕が必要とする返答をして仕事も済ませてくれたんだからね」
 
不愛想ではない、タイムパフォーマンスが良いととらえよう。アイス－Tはできる男なのだ。
