海外ドラマ最新レポート Vol.608 　「NUMBERS 天才数学者の事件ファイル」のジャド・ハーシュ、「ビッグバン★セオリー ギークなボクらの恋愛法則」にカメオ出演した理由が意外

「NUMBERS 天才数学者の事件ファイル」のジャド・ハーシュは、「ビッグバン★セオリー ギークなボクらの恋愛法則」のシーズン9と10にカメオ出演している。その出演オファーを受けた理由がなんともユニークだ。
 
ジャドの役はジョニー・ガレッキ演じるレナード・ホフスタッターの父親アルフレッド役で、2話のみの出演。レナードの母親ビバリー(クリスティーン・バランスキー)と比べれば、ずっと出番は控えめ。アカデミー賞にも2度ノミネートされている実力派のジャドが、なぜこのカメオ出演を引き受けたのだろうか?
「ジョニーに懇願されたのさ。私が出席していたあるパーティーに、ジョニーも参加していた。そこでジョニーがやって来て『僕の父親になってくれませんか?』って言われたんだ」
 
大ヒットシットコム「ビッグバン★セオリー ギークなボクらの恋愛法則」については、もちろんジャドも知っていた。しかし、その主演俳優が直接役をオファーしてくるとは想像もしていなかった。
「なぜ私なんだ? と聞いたら、『「ビッグバン★セオリー ギークなボクらの恋愛法則」で僕の父親はまだ一度も登場していません。僕はあなたに似てるとずっと思っていたんです』とジョニーは答えた」
(どこが似てるんだ? )とはジャドの正直な気持ちだった。しかし、ジョニーの大胆すぎるオファーを断ることはしなかった。
「もしかして、彼の実の父親がどこか私みたいなのかもしれないと考えたのさ」
 
ジョニーの心の中に、俳優としてジャドをリスペクトする気持ちもあったのだろう。「ビッグバン★セオリー ギークなボクらの恋愛法則」での親子役はジョニーにとって、忘れられない共演の一コマに違いない。
