実在のカリスマ・プロデューサー、ラリー・デイヴィッドの揉め事まみれの日常を自らが演じるユニークでシニカルなフェイク・ドキュメンタリー･コメディ。
レストランへの投資話が持ち上がり、ラリーも誘われる。会合に行ってみると、テッド・ダンソンやマイケル・ヨークも参加している。ラリーは新しいシャツを着ていたが、テッドが気に入る。そこでラリーは、次の会合の前にさらに２着買い、１着をテッドにプレゼントする。だがほころびが見つかったため２人は揉め、テッドはシャツを突き返す。テッドの娘ジルの５歳の誕生日パーティーが開かれ、ラリーらも招かれる。ラリーは嫌みで例のシャツを着ていく。その後、ジルがピニャータを割ろうとして誤ってラリーを殴り、ラリーの歯が折れる。お気に入りのシャツも血だらけに…。
