エリック・ブラントの裁判も終わりに近づき、弁護士ウォーレン・ダニエルズは被告人本人を証言台に立たせるという大胆な決断を下す。一方、テリーは以前の事件で捜査に穴があったのではないかと疑い始める。それはすべてをくつがえしかねない重大な穴だった。検察側と弁護側が最終弁論で熱弁をふるい、いよいよ評決の時が訪れる。
