海兵隊員の妻ジェイミー・カーの姿が2週間ほど前から見えなくなったと、バート・パウエルという隣人から通報が入る。夫はイラクに派遣中で不在、寝室には血を拭き取ったような跡があった。そして寝室を見たマクギーは、以前見たネット上の動画に映っていた部屋だと知って驚く。
