ロシア人のヴァレリーから金を受け取る仕事を依頼されたポーリーは、クリスをお供に出かける。金はすんなり手に入るが、ロシア人に反感を持っているポーリーはケンカをふっかけ、はずみでヴァレリーを殺してしまう。仕方なく、遺体を始末するためにニュージャージー南部の荒れ地へ向かう。遺体を雪深い森の中に埋めようとすると、何とヴァレリーは息を吹き返し、クリスに怪我を負わせて逃亡。追いかけるうちにポーリーとクリスはすっかり迷ってしまい、森から出られなくなる。
