クラウスはレベッカとステファンの元に突然現れ、レベッカが持っている短剣を渡すよう要請してくる。一方、ジェレミーにコールを殺させれば、印も完成しデイモンの暗示も解けると考えたエレナは、コールを殺しても復讐されないようにと、短剣をレベッカに刺すことを思いついて、ステファンに短剣を手に入れるよう依頼する。
