ダニーの兄ラフィエルが行方不明になる。婚約者シルビアの話によれば、ラフィエルは仮出所になってからは、シルビアの兄ネルソンの整備工場でまじめに働く生活を送り、自分の整備工場を持とうとして中小企業庁から1万ドルの融資を受けていたという。ところが中小企業庁の担当者から、融資は服役経験があることによって却下されていたこと、またネルソンから、素行の悪かった元従業員ルイスと失踪前日に連絡を取っていたらしいことがわかる。そんな中、駐車場に放置されていたルイスの車から大量の覚せい剤が発見される。そこからはラフィエルの指紋が検出され…。
