海外ドラマ最新レポート Vol.174　米IMDB発表　今年最も検索された2020年放送の新番組は「スタートレック： ピカード」

米エンタメ系オンライン・データベースIMDBが、今年最も検索された2020年放送の新番組トップ10を発表した。1位にはランクインしたのは、「スタートレック」シリーズの「スタートレック： ピカード」だった。

 
日本でもAmazonプライムビデオにて1月24日（金）に配信開始が決定した「スタートレック： ピカード」は、「新スタートレック」のスピンオフとなる新シリーズ。U.S.S.エンタープライズD艦長のジャン・リュック・ピカードが、約25年ぶりにTVシリーズに再登場、演じるのはもちろん、英俳優パトリック・スチュワートだ。
 
1位の「スタートレック： ピカード」に続く、2位にランクインしたのは、「The Falcon and The Winter Soldier（原題）」。こちらは、米ディズニー系の新配信サービス、Disney＋で2020年後半にスタートの予定。マーベルの『アベンジャーズ』シリーズでは比較的、脇のキャラで登場するファルコンとウィンターソルジャーが主役だという。
 
3位は、ジュード・ロウ、ジョン・マルコヴィッチ主演の「The New Pope （原題）」（HBO）、4位には「ウォーキング・デッド」の新スピンオフシリーズ「The Walking Dead: World Beyond（原題）」（AMC）が入っている。
 
以降、「Snowpiercer （原題）」（TNT）、「The Stand （原題）」（CBS All Access）、「The Outsider（原題）」（HBO）、「Stargirl（原題）」（DC Universe）、「Hunters（原題）」（Amazon）、「Katy Keene（原題）」（The CW）と続く。
 
検索数が多い新番組の特徴は、スピンオフやコミック原作、スティーヴン・キング作品といったオリジナルからのファンを抱えていること。配信サービスが次々と参入する中、スタートダッシュに期待できるコンテンツは限られるようだ。
 
トップ10ランキングは、IMDB（imdb.com）の検索結果が多い順にまとめたもの。IMDBは世界中から月間2億回の閲覧数を誇る、エンタメ系では最大手のオンライン・データベース。
