海外ドラマ最新レポート Vol.22　「ブラックリスト」のアミール・アリソン、スターになって一番感謝していること

blacklist_yr4_＃83(4-16)_TBL_416-20170208-VS_0528.jpg「ブラックリスト」でITスペシャリストのアラムを演じているアミール・アリソンが、今年の米メリーランド国際映画祭で特別賞にあたるメンデス賞を受賞した。メンデス賞は、奉仕活動などコミュニティに貢献する、TVや映画のスターに贈られる賞。
 
授賞に先立ち、アミールはメリーランド州の地元メディアのインタビューに答えている。
 
アミールの参加してきた奉仕活動は多岐に渡る。子供たちに向けたブロードウェイのワークショップを開いたり、重病に苦しむ子供たち、その家族と一緒にキャンプを楽しんだこともある。子供たちのために有益な時間を提供するのはもちろん、「ブラックリスト」でスターの仲間入りを果たした今は、それらの活動を世間に啓蒙するのも、アミールの大きな役割の一つだ。
 
「『ブラックリスト』に出演できて、僕が一番感謝していることの一つだ。僕は本当にラッキーだよ」
 
大ヒットドラマ「ブラックリスト」の看板を使えば、その奉仕活動はより多くの人々の関心を引くことになるからだ。アミールの奉仕活動への取り組みは両親譲り。父のロン・アリソン博士、母のジポラ・アリソン精神科医共に、奉仕活動に熱心だという。
 
「母は僕の知る限り最も寛大で奉仕の精神に満ちた人だよ。もうセミリタイアしていて、今は旅行やオペラ鑑賞を楽しんでいる。一方で、メディカルスクールの学生たちに奨学金を贈ったり、学校に寄付したりいろいろな奉仕活動も続けている」
 
アミールを驚かせ、今も心に残っている母の言葉があるという。
 
“人に分け与えることで一番恩恵を受けているのは、当の私自身。誰に何を与えたとしても、その与えたという行為自体が、私にとっては最高のご褒美だから。奉仕の極意は、恩恵を与える人が一番の幸せ者だということ”（アミール母の言葉）
 
「ブラックリスト」で演じるアラムも、同僚を信じ、自らの立場を危うくしてまでも手を差し伸べる、優しいキャラクター。ユーモラスな言動で緊迫しがちなチームを一瞬なごませるのも、アラムの得意とするところだ。
 
演じる役に自然とアミールの人間性がにじみ出る。両親が教えた奉仕精神は、アミールに俳優としての個性も与えている。
