時を同じくして通勤客たちを乗せたバスに、１人の男が乗ってくる。男はガス状のものをまき乗客が苦しんでいるあいだに、ある女の持っていたリュックを盗み下車して去る。立ち去った男は、女のリュックをあさるが目当ての物は見つからない。オリビアたちが現場に駆けつけると、バスの中の乗客は謎の固体に覆われ死んでいた。ウォルターはサンプルをラボに持ち帰り調べる。
