アフガニスタンの村。作戦行動中のシールの部隊が攻撃を受け、民間人4名が犠牲になりシールの隊員も3名が負傷する。シールの部隊には、ZNNのレポーター、ダンストンが取材のため同行していた。調査を任されたハーモンとマックは、ダンストンが足手まといになったのではないかと考え、シールの隊員から証言を聴取する。予想に反し、ダンストンは危険を顧みず、負傷した隊員を救ったという事実が判明。そんな英雄談がありながら、ニュースでは一言も触れなかったダンストンに、ハーモンとマックは疑問を抱く。ダンストンに問い詰めると、作戦が失敗に終わったのは軍の情報収集力不足だとかわされる。
