6年前に息子ショーンが失踪したチェットは、それ以来あきらめずに息子を捜しておりジャックともそれ以来の仲だったが、チェット自身が失踪し、ジャックらが出動する。チェットは私立探偵を雇って息子を捜させていたが、適当にネットで捜した記事を渡すだけのいい加減な私立探偵だった。だが探偵がチェットに渡した中に、犬を連れて子供を誘拐しようとした男の記事があることが発覚。ショーンの失踪時も、キャンプサイト近くで犬を連れた男が目撃されていたのだった。その男はタイソン・ディブズと言い、6年前のショーンの事件で取り調べを受けていた男だった。
