客室乗務員のリンダが深夜便に乗務するため夜7時にアパートを出て、行方不明になる。翌朝、リンダの車が発見される。座席にはリンダの血痕。そして結んだストッキングが残っていた。カードの請求から、リンダが失踪当日の夜、禁酒中にもかかわらずイーオン・ホテルのバーでマティーニ2杯を飲んでいたことが分かった。その近くのバーを舞台に最近、連続レイプ殺人犯の最初の被害者が出たところだった。その殺人の手口は、リンダの車で見つかったのと同じだ。警察はサマンサの元彼、エリックと協力、レイプ犯をおびき出し、サマンサをおとりに犯人を逮捕。だがその犯人リチャードはリンダ失踪当日アリバイがあった。
