アボットの娘エイミーはエフラムに親切にしてくれていたが、エフラムと二人きりになった彼女は、自分には交通事故で昏睡状態のボーイフレンド、コリンがおり、彼を目覚めさせることが出来ないか、脳外科医の父に聞いてほしいとエフラムに頼む。一方ブラウンはフェスティバルの会場で亡き妻ジュリアの姿を見て、会話を交わす。その様子を見ていた町の人々は…。
