ジュリアの両親ジェイコブとノニーが、突然エバーウッドにやってくる。ブラウンは自分がいい父親であるところを見せようと、魚釣り大会に行こうとするも、急の往診が入り、結局エフラムはジェイコブと出かけることに。釣りの最中、エフラムはブライトから、その夜のパーティーでエイミーを元気付けて欲しいと頼まれる。ところが、ブラウンからパーティー行きを禁じられ、エフラムはこっそり家を抜け出して、パーティーへ…
