実在のカリスマ・プロデューサー、ラリー・デイヴィッドの揉め事まみれの日常を自らが演じるユニークでシニカルなフェイク・ドキュメンタリー･コメディ。
ラリーが友人に電話を掛けると、アドレス帳を見間違えて別の友人、元ポルノ男優のギル・シーランダーに電話してしまう。彼に土曜の夜のホーム・パーティに誘われ、ラリーは断り切れず行く事に。しかし土曜の夜はシェリルと食事に行く約束だった。どうせ騒がしいパーティだろうから、食事の後、顔だけ出しに行く事に。行き方を書いた紙をギルにファックスしてもらったが、ロス郊外の何もないド田舎で、ラリーらは道に迷う。

ギルは架空人物。ギルを演じるBob OdenkirkはTV「サタデー・ナイト・ライブ」「ベン・スティラー ショー」で脚本家として活躍。俳優としてもTV、映画に出演している。
