第14話「眠れる化石」
Dead Clade Walking / [ シリーズ通算 #38]

ワトソンはホームズの未解決事件の中から気になる事を見つける。ダグ・ニューバーグという男が殺された事件で、被害者の裏庭に6500万年も前の白亜紀の石があった。ワトソンは石をこっそり盗み出して調べると、内部に恐竜の全身骨格の化石が含まれており、金額にして数百万ドルにはなるらしいことが分かる。
