テッド･ジョルダーノと娘のニコール、息子のディラン一家が姿を消し、家には大きな血痕が発見される。テッドは妻を難病でなくし、借金を抱えながら建築現場で働いていたが、そこへ柄の悪い高利貸しが出入りするようになりクビになった矢先だった。テッドが子供達を殺し、逃げた可能性も浮かぶ。
