高校の同窓会に出席した会計事務所の社員ルークが、酔った女友達を自宅に送り届けた後で行方不明になる。ルークには妊娠中の妻エイミーがいて、息子の誕生を楽しみにしていた。ルークのクレジットカードの明細から、浮気の可能性が浮上し、エイミーの話から、相手は会計事務所の上司アラン・ホッジスの妻ティナであるらしいとわかる。エイミーも同窓会に出席するはずだったが、間際になってつわりのために中止しており、浮気を知って夫の殺害を計画したのではないかという疑いが生まれる。
