フィラデルフィアのプロボクサー、ジミーは負けてばかりの咬ませ犬的ファイター。妻とは離婚し、唯一の生き甲斐は息子のライアンと会うことだった。しかしライアンが白血病の再発で入院してからジミーに異変が現れる。幻覚の自覚症状はあったが、ある夜なぜ自分の手が血まみれなのかはわかっていなかった。
