8年前、モーガンの従妹シンディは同僚ジョン・ヒッチンスのストーカー行為に悩み、相談を受けたモーガンは転居するようアドバイス。だがシンディはシカゴからサヴァンナに向かう途中、シンシナティで行方不明に。その後ヒッチンスが自殺したため、シンディは殺害されたものと考えられていが、ある日、シンディの失踪事件が急展開を遂げる。
