カリフォルニア州のエンジェルス国有林内のリッジキャニオンという湖で、3つの遺体が発見される。さらに遺体の捜索中にニックという若者がさらわれ、間もなく遺体で発見される。ニックは先に発見された3人の被害者とタイプが異なっていたが、ニックを含む4人全員が殺される前に蘇生術を施されていたことが分かる。
