アリゾナで連続殺人事件が発生。被害者は20代後半のブロンド女性で、襲われたあとに心臓を1発撃たれ、祈るような姿勢で公園に放置されていた。捜査のためBAUが現地入りした直後、新たな被害者が発見される。今度は人妻で髪の色も茶色。さらに、胃からは何者かの前歯が見つかる。
