テキサスで保安官を務めるクルーズの友人、コールマンから捜査依頼が来る。娼婦と斡旋人が背中を切られ撃ち殺されるという事件が相次いでいるという。殺された娼婦の一人アビゲイルの仲間タビサの証言から、最後の客が「マック・ザ・ナイフ」と呼ばれる男だったことがわかる。モーガンはまだ何か知っていそうなタビサに名刺を渡す。
