とある施設を訪れるモーガン。入院患者のダリアを連続殺人事件の証人として法廷に立たせるかどうか、査定に訪れたのだ。医学生だったダリアは1年前にジョーという男に誘拐監禁されて拷問を受けていたが、殺される前に逃げ出し、保護された。様々な状況から、ジョーには共犯者がいると推理したBAUだが、なかなか特定できずにいた。
