麻薬取締局がドラッグ工場とおぼしき民家にガサ入れをかけたところ、そこには科学兵器の散布装置と無線電話が残され、生物兵器の冬眠テロリストの潜伏場所であることが分かる。潜伏場所を管理していたのがジンド・アッラーという男だということが判明するが、彼は２ヶ月前に捕えられ、本名不詳のままグアンタナモ収容所に収監されている。無線電話で傍受したメッセージをアラビア語に堪能なプレンティスが解読したところ、48時間後にアメリカ本土にテロ攻撃を仕掛ける計画があるらしい。
