テキサス州ウェストビューンで民家に爆弾が仕掛けられて住民が死亡、そこに駆けつけた保安官が銃殺されるという事件が起きる。当初はテロリストの犯行かと目されたが、現場に赴いたBAUは顔見知りによる怨恨と判断する。
